"It's not a spectator sport!"


The Team

Now imagine the evolving team of wealth. This company I am working with has two new structures that have never existed in a home business opportunity before. 

One is the product. We are selling a savings package that has so many ways to save money that no brochure can cover it. The team itself can evolve the savings package by signing up local businesses, so it expands and grows exponentially. New national companies come all the time and request to be added to the package. Sometimes benefit providers leave or are removed. We are not selling any particular product like vitamins, or cleaning gels or anything like that. 

What we are selling is invisible. It is not only the actual benefits available in the savings package, but the concept of group buying power itself. So imagine my difficulty. I can't walk into your house and show you a suitcase of the best stuff ever. How in the world am I going to get to you believe that this package has value?

The other dilemma we face is that the compensation program is set up so that the upline does not make any money unless the people they bring into the company make money. 

Humans beings are extremely adaptable creatures and these factors created an evolutionary tension that drew the members into close knit teams. As humans we have an instinct to both tell and learn from stories, and that evolved through the teams. So we tell stories of our savings and stories of the changes in lifestyle that have come to us from more money and that is how we show the product.

It's like bringing the best of human nature to the forefront.  The result is the development of the individual and development of the team at the same time.

I noticed this particularly this week. I was invited to a large presentation of another direct sales company. They also have a very nice product, and are very excited about what they are selling. They also work in teams, but they don't have the constant story-telling that we have for selling our product. Suddenly, in comparison, I noticed how extremely eloquent our members are in comparrison to theirs!

It was quite remarkable. Reminded me of the results that are also being accomplished in Andrew Cohen's Evolutionary Enlightenment groups. Evolutionary Enlightenment is about the enlightenment of culture more than the enlightenment of the individual. One of the practices is Enlightened Communication which is deep communication beyond ego. Another practice is reading some remarkable material outloud each day. All this results in very eloquent members, which in itself leads to the success of the organization.
